Why do we need to send an opt-out message?

You may have noticed that some of your messages were sent with an added message saying “Reply STOP to Unsubscribe” and probably have a few questions in regards to this. With business-to-consumer texting, there are a few standards we have to maintain to preserve deliverability and ensure compliance within SMS texting. One of these requirements is Opt-Out language. The details are as follows:

  • The first message sent to any customer will have the phrase “Reply STOP to unsubscribe” as a default.
  • This also needs to be included once every 6 months in your customer messaging.

Rather than having you put in the extra work tracking that and ensuring this is done we automated this for you, to ensure you can continue to run your day-to-day business without causing you any additional work!
