How do I turn off my Messenger greeting on Facebook?

A some of the benefits of connecting your Facebook Page to your Chekkit account are the ability to view reviews, respond to your reviews, and receive messages from your Facebook Page. Your customers may receive duplicate automatic greetings. To turn off the greeting on your Facebook page follow the steps below.


  • From your News Feed, click Pages in the left menu.
  • Go to your Page.
  • Click Settings at the top of your Page.
  • Click Messaging in the left column.
  • Next to Show a Messenger greeting, click to select On, click again to turn Off.
  • Click Change, edit the greeting, then click Save.

Now your customers will only receive the Chekkit greeting when they send you a message through Messenger.
