How Do I Respond to Facebook Recommendations on My Chekkit Account?
Connecting your Facebook Page to your Chekkit account allows you to manage messages, monitor recommendations, and respond directly from your Chekkit dashboard.
If you can see your reviews but can’t respond to them, your Facebook permissions may need to be updated. Follow the steps below to ensure Chekkit has the correct access.
Step 1: Log In to Facebook
Go to facebook.com and log in with the Facebook account that has Admin access to your business Page.
Step 2: Open Your Settings
Click the down arrow (▾) in the top-right corner of Facebook and select Settings & Privacy, then Settings.
Step 3: Go to Business Integrations
In the left-hand menu, select Business Integrations (in some layouts this may appear as Apps and Websites).
Step 4: Edit the Chekkit Integration
Find Chekkit in your list of Active Business Integrations.
Click View and Edit (or Edit Settings, depending on your layout).
Step 5: Verify the Required Permissions
Ensure that all the following permissions are enabled for Chekkit:
- Show a list of Pages you manage
- Manage and access Page conversations on Messenger
- Send messages from Pages you manage at any time after the first user interaction
- Read content posted on your Page
- Manage accounts, settings, and webhooks for a Page
- Read user content on your Page
- Create and manage content on your Page
- Manage comments on your Page
These permissions allow Chekkit to retrieve your Page’s reviews and respond to them on your behalf.
Step 6: Confirm the Connection in Chekkit
Return to your Chekkit dashboard.
Go to Settings → Review → Facebook Settings, and ensure the correct Facebook Page is connected and active.
If you recently changed permissions, try refreshing the connection by disconnecting and reconnecting your Page.
Note
The Facebook user you connect must have Admin-level access to the Page for Chekkit to function properly.
Once these steps are complete, you’ll be able to respond to Facebook recommendations directly through your Chekkit account.
