Google Business Messenger allows your customers to reach you directly through Google Search and Maps, providing a smooth, conversational experience that helps improve engagement and customer satisfaction.
How to Set Up Google Business Messenger
To get your Chekkit account connected with Google Business Messenger, please email support@chekkit.io with the following details:
- Business logo — preferably 1024 x 1024 px
- Business name
- Contact email
Verification Process
After we submit your details to Google, you’ll receive two separate emails from Google to verify your business:
1. First Email — Security Key
This email will contain your security key. Keep it handy; you’ll need it for the next step.
2. Second Email — Business Details and Agent ID
This email will include your business name, logo link, and Agent ID.
Please review the information carefully. To authorize Chekkit to proceed, reply to this second email with the following statement:
I, (your name and business name), grant Chekkit the right to send Business Messages using the information specified in this email.
Security key: (security key from the first email)
Enable Messaging in Google My Business
Once your business has been verified, you’ll need to turn on messaging inside your Google My Business (GMB) account.
- Sign in to your GMB dashboard.
- Go to Messages in the left-hand menu.
- Click Turn on messaging to activate this feature.
What Happens Next
After your verification is complete, our team will finalize the integration on our end.
Once connected, your customers will be able to message your business directly through Google Search and Maps, and those messages will appear in your Chekkit Dashboard.
