How do I cancel a payment?

From time to time, you may need to cancel a payment request that you've sent to one of your customers. Canceling a payment request is an easy and quick process, follow the steps below to complete this action.

Step 1: Go to Chekkit Pay

Your first step will be signing into your Chekkit account and navigating to Chekkit Pay Tab.

Step 2: Cancel the Invoice

Find the invoice that you would like to cancel, it should have the status 'Sent'. Ensure that you have chosen the correct invoice so as to not cancel the wrong request. Click the 3 dots and select 'Cancel Invoice'. You will see the status of the invoice change from 'Sent' to 'Canceled'.

Select Cancel Invoice

The customer will no longer be able to process the payment and the payment will show as canceled on the detailed invoice.
