How to Use Improved Bulk Contact Management and Bulk Delete Options
Overview
Managing your contacts efficiently is crucial for maintaining an organized contact list. Chekkit has introduced enhanced bulk management options on the Contacts page to streamline this process. This guide will walk you through the new features, including bulk delete options and a convenient 'Select All' checkbox.
New Bulk Actions
When you select one or more contacts on the Contacts page, you'll now see a clear action bar at the top with the following options:
- Delete selected contacts - Quickly remove unwanted contacts.
- Create campaign - Initiate a campaign with selected contacts.
- Add tag - Organize contacts by adding tags.
- Remove tag - Clean up tags from selected contacts.
- Export selected contacts - Export the selected contacts if needed.
- Clear selection - Deselect all chosen contacts.
The delete option is now prominently displayed as a bulk action, making it easier to manage your contacts.
Select All Checkbox
A new checkbox is available at the top of the contacts table, next to the column headers. This checkbox allows you to:
- Select all contacts currently visible on the page with one click.
- Clear the selection by clicking the checkbox again.
- Select only the contacts shown in a filtered view when filters or searches are applied.
The selection count will update clearly at the top of the page, ensuring you know how many contacts are selected.
Bulk Delete Safety
To prevent accidental deletions, a confirmation pop-up will appear before completing a bulk delete action. The pop-up will ask:
"Are you sure you want to delete these contacts? This action cannot be undone."
If the deletion affects message history, campaigns, tags, or other records, the pop-up will clearly explain what will and will not be deleted.
Why Use These Features?
These improvements make contact cleanup faster and reduce confusion when managing large contact lists. They also align the Contacts page experience with the Inbox, providing a consistent user experience.
