Connect HubSpot to Chekkit
Connect HubSpot to Chekkit to text customers automatically when things happen in HubSpot — like a new deal, a support ticket, or a deal marked won — using ready-made automations you can turn on in a few clicks.
What it does
- Links your HubSpot account to Chekkit when you sign in to HubSpot and approve the connection, so HubSpot updates flow into your messaging automations.
- Lets you choose which HubSpot updates should trigger texts — new deals, deal stage changes, new support tickets, and more.
- Offers one-click quick-setup automations for new deal follow-up, support ticket confirmations, and review requests after a deal is won.
- Lets you fine-tune any automation later from Automations → Message automations.
Before you start
- You need owner or location admin access in Chekkit.
- You need a HubSpot account with permission to approve connected apps.
- If you want the Review request after deal won automation, check Stage changed under Deals when you connect — it isn't selected by default.
How to connect
- In Chekkit, go to Settings → Connections → CRM & Tools.
- Find HubSpot in Business Tools & Integrations.
- Click Connect to open the connection dialog.

Connect HubSpot
- Choose an app where this connection will live. Chekkit picks one for you by default; you can use an existing app or create a new one named HubSpot.
- Under Text customers when…, select the HubSpot updates you want Chekkit to receive:
- Deals — Created — when a new deal is added in HubSpot (selected by default).
- Deals — Stage changed — when a deal moves to a new pipeline stage (e.g. New Lead, Closed Won). Required for the review request automation.
- Tickets — Created — when a new support ticket is created (selected by default).
- Contacts — Permanently deleted — lets Chekkit know when a contact is permanently deleted in HubSpot, such as a privacy request (selected by default).
- Click Connect HubSpot. You'll be sent to HubSpot to sign in and approve the connection, then returned to Chekkit.

When the connection succeeds, the HubSpot row shows Connected.
Quick-setup automations
After connecting, click Set up automation (or the + button on a connected integration) to open the template picker.
| Automation | When it sends | What the customer gets |
|---|---|---|
| New deal follow-up | When a deal is created in HubSpot | A text confirming you've received their request and will be in touch. |
| Support ticket received | When a support ticket is created in HubSpot | A confirmation that your team is on their request. |
| Review request after deal won | When a deal is marked Closed Won | A thank-you and review link. |
Example review request (with sample data):
Hi Jane, thank you for your business! We'd love your feedback — it only takes a moment: [review link]
Real messages use the name and phone number of the contact attached to the deal or ticket in HubSpot.
Pick a template, click Turn on automation, and Chekkit creates and activates it. You can add the remaining templates anytime; already-added ones show as Added.

After connecting
- Open Message automations from the integration row to view, edit, or pause automations.
- Click Events on the HubSpot row to change which HubSpot updates Chekkit listens for — for example, to turn on Stage changed later.
- To test that everything is working, create a test deal or ticket in HubSpot with a contact that has your own phone number.
Disconnect HubSpot
- In Business Tools & Integrations, open HubSpot and choose Remove.
- Confirm removal in Chekkit. Chekkit also disconnects from HubSpot on their side.
- Existing automations remain but will not run until HubSpot is connected again. You can reconnect at any time.
Troubleshooting
- The review request never sends. Make sure Stage changed is turned on under Deals — click Events on the HubSpot row to check. The deal also needs to be marked Closed Won in HubSpot.
- Customers aren't receiving texts. Check that the contact attached to the deal or ticket has a valid phone number in HubSpot.
- The HubSpot row shows a red alert. The connection needs to be refreshed — remove HubSpot and connect it again to restore sync.
- I want a different trigger. Duplicate or edit the automation in Message automations to match your HubSpot workflow.
